I mentioned a few days ago an idea about a book project where it would be a collection of stories from members of the neopagan community about things that they experienced.  The common theme would be finishing the statement "If I had known...".

The goal of the project is to create something for the newer neopagans to learn from.  Show them that we have made our mistakes, and this is how we recovered from them or learned from them.  I also hope to collect stories of things that worked or empowered us to do more.  So a mic of both positive and cautionary stores.

If you are interesting in helping out, I ask that you have been a practicing neopagan for at least 10 years.  It would be even better if you've held some kind of leadership position whatever tradition you practice.

This project will be coordinated through a private section of my website.  To assist, please register a user account at http://ghosti.net/user/register.  Here you will be asked for username, password, email, reason for wanting an account and a little bit about yourself.  Please choose the book project for reason, and fill in a little blurb about yourself, such as how long you've been a neopagan, any leadership you've held, etc.  Once I approve your account, you will be able create book pages and add then to the If I had known book.  That will be how you can submit your stories.

Thank you all for helping with this project.  I will be adding my own stories in the next day or two, and look forward to any you contribute.  Please also share this far and wide... I want as diverse a group as possible.
