With thanksgiving now over, we are in the middle of the holiday season.  The tree at Rockefeller center will be lit up this Wednesday, and my favorite event of the season, tubachristmas is starting up again.  It is also the start of a busy time of year for many of us, myself included.

It is time though to also reflect on the year, and give thanks.  This year has been full of ups and downs for me, but I do have lots to be thankful for.  I have a job, a car, a house, and all the basic necessities for living an average life.  I have been able to attend many festivals throughout the year and connect with new and old friends alike.  I have been able to forge the starting materials of what I hope becomes a longer term relationship, or at least a close friendship.  My family is all in good health and continue to love and support me, and I love them unconditionally back.  I also have three furry minions that never do what I ask them, but they show their affection when I need to see it the most.  Finally, I have a wealth of friends.  Most are not as close as I wish both physically and emotionally.  Even so, they all give me the support I need, and I would not be here or the person I am without them.

So, that is what I am thankful for, with a lot more that I am sure I am missing.
