This past weekend was Charter Oak Grove's festival, Harvest Nights.  I have to say, it is a gem of a festival in large part because of how relaxed it is.  It started Friday with me doing a seidhr ritual.  I kept it rather low key, and more along the lines of a blot, and by fast not an ADF style ritual.  No journeying of everyone to some place, just me doing the journeying and an "adult" to watch over me.  We had about 10 questions, and had a being give me an answer but limited me in what I could tell the person who asked.

Saturday we spent the morning on the Court of Dagda which was interesting and similar to the court of Brighid stuff that Ian and Sue introduced at Summerlands a few years ago... Of course it was Ian and Sue doing this, so not surpassed it was similar.  The afternoon was spent discussing intentional eating, basically being aware of what you are eating and enjoying it as a means to reaching the weight you want to be (higher or lower).  The main rite was held indoors due to weather, and while not the most elaborate, it really fit the needs.  We ended the night with bardic fun.

As always, the food was excellent.  I do have to say hail to all end chefs for doing such a good job.  I for one did not go home hungry.

Overall though, it was relaxing, and a low energy event.  I highly recommend it.
